On May 8th and May 22nd, 2026, I visited iPlay America in Freehold, NJ. I visited this fun entertainment center twice because I went on two different nights that allowed free entry for teachers. I was also interested in checking out this indoor amusement park because they had one roller coaster, and one of the last SPF Visa Coasters I had to experience in New Jersey. Overall, I think this is a nice indoor park that is worth bringing families to. Inside of iPlay America, there is an arcade, go-karts, laser tag, one small coaster, and several spinning flat rides. Additionally, the park also has a cool virtual reality dark ride.

When I used my teacher ID to visit both times, I was able to get unlimited access to all the rides, but I only received a voucher to do the virtual reality dark ride once. The arcade and laser tag were also not included. This was perfectly fine for me since I didn’t plan on spending a lot of time in the arcade, and I found that the laser tag wasn’t too expensive. For the next part of the article, I’m just going to describe my experiences of all the major attractions that I rode during my two visits:
XD Dark Ride VR
This virtual reality dark ride was cool because all riders sat on rocking seats and we had to shoot moving targets. The simulation I got was Los Banditos, and I enjoyed the simulator more than I thought because there was a battle between every other person inside the ride, and I got to shoot robots.
Freedom Rider
Freedom Rider is the main reason I was interested in visiting iPlay America, and it is a solid family indoor roller coaster. It has the same layout as other SPF Visa coasters in New Jersey such as Whirlwind at Playland’s Castaway Cove and Wild Whizzer at Morey’s Piers, but I found that this roller coaster was better themed than any other double loop SPF Visa coaster in New Jersey.
Go-Karts
Another major attraction that I enjoyed was the Go-karts. The racetrack for the go-karts was on the smaller side compared to other go-karts I’ve experienced, but I really felt the speed of my go-kart because of how the racetrack felt relatively small. This made the go-karts more thrilling, and I had to be more careful when driving around my friends.

Crazy Cabs and Reverse Time
In my opinion, the two most intense attractions at iPlay America were Reverse Time and Crazy Cabs. Although you can find similar attractions at other parks, do not underestimate how intense these small flat rides are. Both attractions will spin very fast, and you will be surrounded by flashing lights. This made for a very disorienting experience that I enjoyed. I strongly recommend not riding if you have a low tolerance to spinning or are sensitive to flashing lights.
Laser Tag
My favorite part of iPlay America was experiencing their laser tag attraction. iPlay America has a two-level laser tag arena, and each game lasts for eight minutes. I had a blast playing with or against my friends, and I was also surprised that it only cost $6 per person to play. We had so much fun after one game that we immediately all wanted to play again for a second time!

In conclusion, I recommend visiting iPlay America to anyone who is looking for a fun night out. There are plenty of nice attractions, their arcade is cool, all the employees I met were friendly, and their laser tag arena made it worth the visit alone.
