On our way to Frenchtown, we opted to stop at a bagel place for a quick brunch. We stopped in at City Bagel Cafe for the first time and saw that there were many offerings, not just bagels. They had a variety of sandwiches, including fish and meat options, and breakfast foods. We tried a poppyseed egg sandwich, a cinnamon and raisin pastrami sandwich, and a plain bagel with scallion cream cheese.

The owner sat down and chatted with us for a bit and we found out that it was family run and they originally had a business in New York. He told us that they made everything in house. There were many customers who seemed to be regulars and in general there was a very friendly atmosphere in the shop. The owner was also so kind as to gift us two more bagels since it was our first visit there.

Great place to stop in for brunch or a quick bite while on a road trip!
