Ocean Prime Tavern- Cranford NJ

Ocean Prime Tavern in Cranford, New Jersey is an upscale restaurant primarily known for its steaks and high-quality selection of wines. I have visited this restaurant five times in 2026, and it has become one of my favorite restaurants in Cranford.

From the moment I walk in, the restaurant has a very pleasing ambience. I’ve always loved how the bar looked, the heaters inside the restaurant, and the many bottles of wine that surround the entire restaurant. The music in the restaurant also has a very calming vibe, and it is usually piano covers of pop songs.

Once seated inside the restaurant, one of my favorite drinks to order is their smoked old-fashioned, but occasionally I will also have their margarita with a bubble. My favorite appetizers and entrée are the Caesar salad and the 6oz filet mignon which are prepared very well at this restaurant. I also recommend ordering their mashed potatoes with scallions as a delicious side.

Additionally, I always found that the managers and waiters are very accommodating and always going above and beyond to make sure that every guest has a really great experience.

Overall, Ocean Prime Tavern is an amazing restaurant in Cranford, New Jersey, and I highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in having an upscale family gathering with some premium wines, cocktails, and delicious entrées.
